Art Therapy - Felicity Bramley

Felicity is a registered Art Teacher and Art Therapist. Having studied a Bachelor of Arts Creative at RMIT, Diploma of Education at Monash University and in 2010 a Diploma of Transpersonal Art Therapy at Phoenix Institute.

After several years teaching art in a variety of mainstream and specialist schools Felicity realised that there was a need to offer Art Therapy for children to be able to able to express themselves creatively in a safe and non-judgmental way.

Creating art can be particularly useful to help express overwhelming emotions from past and present crises, traumas and unresolved issues.

It can help with life transitions, loss, grief, body image, anxiety, depression, eating disorders and behavioural concerns.

Art Therapy is not about creating wonderful artwork but about the process of expression. Felicity has experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, anxiety and depression. Her approach is a combination of integrative and person centred.
